I think about this often. What does it really, at the core, mean to be an American?  And I wonder how different people might answer this question differently.

Does it mean being free?  does it mean being strong?  Does it mean being brave?  Does it mean being selfish?

Then I think about Henry Jordan and I realize what it means to be an American, and I want to say it loud and proud.

I have an older saturn, about 6-7 years old.  I bought it back when saturn still made good cars.

Since my ol' faithful had hit 80k miles and the engine was running a little rugged I thought it was a good time to take it in and get a tune up.

Now it's not uncommon to get angry in the face of car repairs and the prices that come with it.  But I was quite okay with that aspect of the trip, it was everything else that got me pissed {grrr}
